國民黨總統參選人朱立倫目前正在進行訪問美國行程，外界不免比較朱立倫規格與民進黨總統參選人蔡英文是否等同級。蔡英文今（13）日表示，她有注意到媒體，出現她與朱立倫訪美比較的報導和說法，但這樣容易淪為選舉操作，「所以還是盡量避免」。
蔡英文表示，美方一再對外表示對台灣總統參選人待遇一致，並保持中立不選邊站，且朱立倫訪美順利是對台、美關係的一種鞏固。
